Considering Transmedia and Merchandising: Action Figure Range - Neca

In these posts I will be looking into some of my personal favourite lines of figures. Firstly, I will look at Neca. Neca mostly create action figures for cult movies, such as Sin City, Predator,  Terminator, but also to modern blockbusters, such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Lone Ranger, Dark Knight, Godzilla and the Avengers. These figures range from a 7 inch to 18 inches in height, usually either or. Neca always provide an exceptional amount of detail, and a huge likeness to actors and costumes. There is a clear and evident amount of care and thought put into how these figures move which is often limited and which is highly unnoticeable when in the intended static pose, however when moved, the wrinkles in the clothes dis-aligned and the figure doesn't work. Newer lines such as the Lone Ranger figures where they move more, in an unnoticeable fashion.
