Presto
Presto is the new software developed by presto to create real-time animations in open world environments, essentially what we are replicating in this module. They created to software to make 'Monsters University', but plan to use it for their future productions. Whats even more interesting about the software is as you get closer to an object or plane is it creates more faces automatically, so the closer you get, you never loose detail. The fact that the scene's use key-framing in real time environments is a huge step forward for studio's, and a much quicker way for animators to do their work. All of Sully's hairs (over 900,000) and each of them have 4 cv points, this created alot of trouble with the real-time frame rate being lost through al this data, however Presto allows the animators to animate the sequence without the fur, and then have a button to simply apply, it however this does mean that the model is made skinnier to allow so when this 'fur suit' is applied, his shape is not too big. They can also choose facial expressions for the character at the click of a button, rather than re-creating these expressions multiple times.
