This is a short sequence of different people getting punched in the face. All the people are different shapes and sizes, and the amount of detail you see is incredible, it shows me that if i decide to use a slow motion fight scene, i have to use real punches because you can see so much detail and it would be too obviously staged if i were to fake it.

Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski
I cant look into the slow motion fight scene without toughing on The Matrix, however, the slow motion used in this is rarely if at all in hand to hand combat. Its mostly in explosions, bullets or leaps. but alot of what I've seen here will help me in making my film.
Zack Snyder
Zack Snyder's movie adaption on Frank Miller Graphic novel uses similar qualities to the fight scenes from Sherlock Holmes, but instead of adding the slow motion to display intelligence, its simply there to look cool, and it does, there are filters and contrasts that look incredible, and certainly is something i should think about adding to my film.
Guy Ritchie
In response to my previous post, after watching the sequel, guy Ritchie goes on further making the slow motion intellectual fight scene more impressive, in this, both parties figure out each others moves before the fight takes place, this has given me many fresh ideas and will be the main inspiration for my film.
Guy Ritchie
most of the inspiration for our group project came from Guy Richie's fight sequences in Sherlock Holmes, it uses fast and slow motion to show the thought process of taking out an opponent before it actually happens, i love the way Ritchie has added intellect and intelligence to something so brutal, it's a very original idea and one that works perfectly and is very effective.
Millennium FX
i dr who the tardis disapears often to time travel, in this the machine slowly fades away, and slowly appears somewhere else, its especially effective with its very famous sound effects, however i don't have the programs to such visual effects.
ILM
In the 2009 Star Trek movie, the teleportation is made of little white lights wrapping round the body, and in a flash the teleport, which is a very hollywood sci-fi way of doing it but also very effective I could use a similar technique to this but it probably wont look as convincing as the 'Looper' effect would.
Legacy Effects
in Thor, the travel using a 'bifrost bridge' in which is a machine which sends the characters to other planets at the speed of light, they shoot up into the air, travel through space, whilst i love this idea, i don think i can go down a route that is too sci-fi as i do not have the expertise to make it look realistic, i would like to look further into it though.
ScanlineVFX
'Looper' uses time-travel, but visually it looks like teleportation and a simple way to do it, the characters simply appear and Disappear with no visible effects, which is a good route for me take, and something i think i could accomplish with clever camera tricks.
Weta Digital
since my video will be about teleportation, I've decided to research into films that use teleportation. the first movie that sprung to mind was x-men first class, which displayed a fantastic example with their character Azezel.

Tony Kaye
In the music video to Johnny Cash’s ‘gods gonna cut you down’ the director Tony Kaye, uses all black and white imagery of celebrities and individuals whom have lived a similar life to the artists. Using fast edits and photography he has captured a very dark and ominous, atmospheric music video.
Theo Kingma
Theo Kingma ‘s portrait of Russell Brand has an emotional tug,
knowing this man grew up a drug addict and has come from a heroin addict to
storming Hollywood proves nothing is impossible, although most would not
consider this man an idol I find it hard not to admire that much perseverance,
and that is what I think the photographer has tried to show due to the fashion
sense, lack of colour and faint smile on the subjects face.
Ian Spanier
This portrait by Ian Spainer has a lot of depth, knowing the subject matter is rock god Steven Tyler, I think it gives the piece intrigue, as the image and pose does give a very empowering feel, and the use of black and white photography with the strong contrast has a strong essence.
Heather Angel
Heather Angel is a hugely talented wildlife photographer; in
the image above she has captured an image which for most would be impossible,
not only due to the contrast and composition used, but also due to the
underwater nature of the photo, that being, crocodile and alligators usually dwell
in very murky waters.
Wen-Jié Yang Jus
This is a fascinating piece of art by the talented French photographer Wen-Jié Yang Jus. This is a beautiful use of light painting that must have taken considerable preparation and skill. The piece shows several parts which would have made this tricky to produce including the fact it is directly above a pool which is displaying no ripples.
