Research into Superhero Figures

DC Unlimited
DC Collectables
Marvel Legends are without doubt the best Superhero figures around, always they consider the style of the figure first, whether it is to be very cartoony, like the original designs, or more realistic design like the modern looks, sometimes a mix of the two but always have great articulation, paintwork and sculpture. However, they are closely followed by the more recent Marvel Select, who have released many amazing figures, and are vastly improving with time, however their early stuff lacked in articulation massively, but with work they are becoming close competitors, I also feel they are more for adult collectors, rather than children's toys, as Marvel Legends is for both. DC collectable's tend to massively lag behind in this department, with some greatly detailed work, but rarely and decent articulation, most of it if there, is oddly placed. They also have the occasional occurrence of good paintwork. Lastly in my opinion (although there should be credit for being one of the best) is DC Unlimited, who are quite a way of producing anything to the standard of Marvel Legends. As any company they all release some good stuff and some bad stuff, but going by percentage of good and bad that would be my opinion. However I plan to use parts of all of these brands in order to piece together what will hopefully be the same quality, if not better than what Marvel Legends produce.
