Student filming at Burnley road – between Midgley road and Hebden Bridge, by Common Bank Wood –  activity due 6-7pm 4thth

Control measures

SB to record full crew/actors list + to brief crew/actors to ensure appropriate behaviour for filming activity.
Further action:

SB is the activity manager & to take charge/control as required.
Strains by carrying too much equipment.
Cast and crew.
Equipment is mainly digital  recording - camera’s and audio.
Boom microphone/tripods and camera track will also be used.

Equipment will be shared via film crew and be within their lifting capability. Lift available for movement of equipment from Mytholmroyd to location.

SB to ensure no-one is carrying too much.
SB to oversee movement of items.
Falling over scene.  
Actor falling over.
Actor will rehearse fall to reduce the risk of hurting himself.
Rehearse the fall softly. Brief team before filming.
Vehicles
Cast and crew.
A team member will be responsible for looking out for the rare chance of approaching vehicles that appear to be recklessly driven, and has the possibility of hitting crew on pavement.  All film crew members to wear high visibility vests during filming. No more than two crew members will stand side beside while on pavement.
Ensure vests worn + watcher in place during activity.
Trips and falls
Any crew member falling.
Notify members when it is assembled, disassemble immediately after use. Tape loose wires down. All crew will be notified of how to hold equipment, and told how to hold cables correctly.
SB to check camera track/cables once set up is in place
Equipment going missing .

Blade on set.
Cast and crew.
Actor comfortable with slight cut of finger. Blade will be new and soaked in alcohol to sterilise it the night previous. It will also be kept in a secure packaging and a designated person crew member will be responsible for knowing its whereabouts at all times.
SB to oversee movement of item. He is to notify CB of its whereabouts during any change in location to ensure it is never left unattended. First Aid will be on set.

Actor comfortable with risk of slight cuts. Blade will be new and soaked in alcohol to sterilise it the night previous. It will also be kept in a secure packaging and a designated person crew member will be responsible for knowing its whereabouts at all times.

Cuts into skin.

 Actor comfortable with risk of slight cuts. Camera will cut away before deep cuts happen.

Actor gets hurt.  
Actor as there is a stage punch.
Actors will rehearse the punch to ensure its safe.
Rehearse the punch many times.
Crew and Actors being hurt and police arriving.
Cast and crew.
As good Samaritans may presume its real, crew will be wearing high visibility vests, and a designated watcher will lookout for approaching people to notify them of the filming. This should also give nobody a reason to call police, is high visibility vests are worn by all crew at all times.

SB is the activity manager & to take charge/control as required.
Trains
Actor could fall on tracks
Filming will take place avoiding trains via the train timetable and notice board. One team member will be responsible for looking out for any unscheduled trains and filming will stop until train has safely passed.
Actor will be being held by crew off camera, to ensure if he did loose footing, he would not fall.
Trains  
College resources.
All cameras will be held correctly with safety straps around necks and arms to ensure if dropped; the equipment would not hit the floor or tracks. 
SB will ensure all equipment will be being used correctly and safely.
